1914 -18 Great War Commemoration Tour
Hi Guys,
Here in Belgium we are organizing an international tour commemorating the start of the Great War (1914-18).
This tour is an initiative of the MG car Club Belgium with the support of the City of Nieuwpoort and the Provincial Government of West Vlaanderen and we will be visiting several museums, memorial sites, military cemetery’s and also the ceremony of the last post under the vast arch at the Menen Gate.
The tour is scheduled for the 3rd 4th and 5th May 2014 but can be booked as a 2 day (3rd & 4th ) or a 3 day , 3rd 4th and 5th.
For people wishing to extend longer we will of course help them with other routes and visits in the area.
People who are interested and require more details please contact me by pm and I will forward the brochure in pdf format.
We have arranged accommodation which is reserved for UK guests but it is purely on a first come first served basis but we can also inform you of the various other accommodations available.
This is a very worthwhile tour and our only stipulation is that you drive an MG, pre war , post war, mga, mgb, mgf, mgtf, ZR, ZT, MG 6 all are welcome.
Come and enjoy our hospitality

I have the flyer for this, Dawn and I will be there, this sounds very interesting. We'll try to get a few from the Essex Roadsters and the Anglia Centre too, it will be in our calendar (s).
Bilstein shocks, Piper 4-2-1 manifold, Daytona, Vader cold-air induction, custom Z and F Stage 2 re-map, Electric boot release, braided hoses, Blue Magnecor leads, Technozen relays, Stage 1 head, BMW Angel Eyes headlights, "MG" puddle lights.

I have also created a thread over on the MG 260's Forum with a link to here.
Strangely, I cant find anything on mgf.be about this tour?

Re: 1914 -18 Great War Commemoration Tour
Colin mgf.be have close links with the MGCC Antwerp, there are three MGCC clubs in Belgium (that's why they have so many votes at the European conference). Belgium, Antwerp and Limburg.

From the initial post I could not see who was organising.
Just wondered if our mgf.be friends might be talking about it as I have seen similar threads started on other MG forums (multiple threads on .Org for example I guess by the creator of this thread?).

The promoter of this event, Mgwanderer is called Clive Skelhorn and he is the President of the MG Car Club Belgium.

That instantly gives a huge amount of credibility to this thread and event
Maybe it could be moved to the European section of the forum?
