Tour de Lux RIP

Post by adrianclifford » Mon Dec 30, 2013 1:02 pm

Hi all, it's with a very sad heart that the Tour de Lux as we know and love has finished. Due to personal reasons Claude and Danielle will not be able to organise this any more and her beloved TF will be sold :( .

It may be possible that it can continue with the leadership of others but not under the Roadstergate banner I'm afraid to say.

It ran for 10 years and Dawn and I had the greatest of pleasures in the 6 years we were there, once in the F and five in Pearl. The CR roads are still amongst the greatest for driving on in Europe and we will miss our annual visit, that's for sure.

Many thanks for everything you have done Claude and Dani, we love you both and we will call in and see you and we look forward to meeting you in London where we will be the hosts and you won't need an MG, we have two :D
Bilstein shocks, Piper 4-2-1 manifold, Daytona, Vader cold-air induction, custom Z and F Stage 2 re-map, Electric boot release, braided hoses, Blue Magnecor leads, Technozen relays, Stage 1 head, BMW Angel Eyes headlights, "MG" puddle lights.

That's really sad news and I hope that Claude and Danielle can find a way back to TF ownership again sometime soon

I had a lot of fun on TdL and these have always been really special weekends for which I thank Claude and Danielle

After I received Claude's email I replied thanking him for all he's done over the years, we to enjoyed the TDLs we did ( 5?) and the event will be sorely missed in the MG calendar.

All the best for the future to Claude & Danielle.

Didn't see this one comming as Claude announced the TDL dates for 2014 a few weeks ago. This news is hard to digest.
Even I am out off words.......
@Claude and Danielle, "thank you very much for all the good fun at these great weekends". we won't forget.

I really hope this doesn't mean the end of the "family gatherings". We got kind of used to y'all.

The e-mail was a hard one to read and brought a lump to my throat. I do feel a sense of loss to be honest but fully respect and understand the reasons behind the decision which I am sure must have been tough.

A very big thank you goes out to Claude and Danielle for pulling the events together, all of which have been such fun and fully enjoyed. Most importantly it has introduced and built great friendships with the help of the MG cars we enjoy.

I hope that there will be an opportunity for us all to meet again in the future. Take care all.

Stu...
