MGFIM and MGF20 already on Lux web-site

Post by adrianclifford » Sun Oct 26, 2014 3:21 pm

Well done to Guy and Marina, both MGFIM and MGF20 are being advertised on the MGCC Luxembourg's event calendar with the advertising logo's too. Great work to both of you. They will soon be with the MG Club de France and MGCC Holland too as they are both being very enthusiastic about both events. I'm sure Sweden, Norway, Germany and mgf.be will follow shortly.
Bilstein shocks, Piper 4-2-1 manifold, Daytona, Vader cold-air induction, custom Z and F Stage 2 re-map, Electric boot release, braided hoses, Blue Magnecor leads, Technozen relays, Stage 1 head, BMW Angel Eyes headlights, "MG" puddle lights.

I'm announced as beeing the contact person at the moment.
I will tell Guy to use Mykel instead, as he has more information :-)

You can do it Steffi, Michael is very busy, I'll fill you in on the details or Colin can. You two will know as much as anybody but even you will not know of the visits as they're going to be a surprise for everybody. I have sent the plan to the organising team so Colin will have a copy for you.

Nice one Pete, I had to refresh my happy memories of the Dave the Bear while I was on the site, nice job.

The MGFIM announcements will soon be made as the web-site will shortly go live and bookings can be made. In a nutshell, it's the 4th edition of the popular MGFIM series of international events for all modern MG's, this time, being the 20th anniversary celebrations of the MGF, it will be in the UK for the first time. The Essex Region will be running it with the International support from the MGFIM team. The advertising is multi-lingual and will be on many web-sites and in many Club magazines around Europe and Scandinavia.

The dates are May 16th-17th and the event is free to enter. This year there will be a complete catering package that will provide lunch and dinner on both days for just £55. The two visits, one per day, will be £10 so your total is £65. You will be given a link to the hotel where we have a one to four night deal in the new Holiday Inn at Southend Airport (the prices include breakfast, parking, taxes and Wi-Fi and are from Thursday to Sunday at £65/65/89 and 60 per night per double/twin room) You select what nights you want and enter the code that will be supplied on the entry form. We will meet the early arrivals there on Friday evening where we will all eat in the rooftop restaurant, we have 75 places reserved at 7.30pm. We have 50 rooms guaranteed in the hotel so be quick as they will fill up. I have alternative hotels in the area should we need more. You will have two days of fun driving the country lanes of Essex including sections of the Tour de France route and visiting delightful villages on the way. We will be centered in nearby Battlesbridge where we have a large marquee in the pub grounds for our meals with two exclusive car parks for our use while we are there.

Tulip diagrams will be used, your Roadbooks along with your name tags, rally plaques etc. will be given to you at check in on Saturday morning. Details of how to get to Event HQ will be given to you on Friday night or via the forum/e mail for those travelling directly there on Saturday morning. It will finish on Sunday afternoon to allow you to eat before driving home for those that want to. The rest will return to their hotel to enjoy the remainder of the evening. If the weather is dry on Saturday evening, we will all go on a visit, if not it will be drinks in the rooftop bar at the hotel.
