MGFIM entries have now reached the predicted capacity of 120 people. We are trying to accept everybody that wants to come so if you are thinking about it please enter soon. We are creating extra space by getting the Crew to eat at a different time. There are still five rooms available at the hotel, but I can ask for more.

If you haven't yet paid for your meals and visits please do so soon as we need confirmation that you are still coming.

Hi Camiel,
Ferry is cheaper, tunnel is a bit quicker and more flexible, but a lot more expensive. We will be taking the DFDS boat from Dunkirk on Thursday (16.00) and return from Dover on Monday (12.00), price is 65.59 Euros total, incl. credit card processing fee.

Go to www.aferry.nl, they have good deals and you can compare prices for various routes (ferry via Dunkirk or Dover, tunnel).

Hook to Harwich is also available as it's a day or overnight if you live in the west of Holland, it's a bit expensive though in my opinion.

As Michael says, Dunkerque is good, we've been using it for many years even when it was called Norfolk Line.

Keep an eye on the MGFIM web-site as it is being updated with more details as we get closer to the event.

Shortly we will be offering quality event polo shirts in white with a one-off blue and red MGFIM logo embroidered on, all sizes and male/female fit too. Michael, Colin or I will let you know when there's something new.

70 cars / 127 people now.

The event is now actually full. The last hotel room is taken, if anybody else is interested please ask before booking as I need to speak to the hotel first. There are more rooms but you may have to pay full price as our allocation of 50 discounted rooms have all been taken.

Therefore a reserve list is now in operation dependant upon more rooms becoming available or I use an alternative but the hotel is an integral part of the event.

You’d better get going now !!!

For those who would like to join the great European gathering in Essex in May, the registration is only open for another day. Tomorrow at about this time I will close the registration page. Game over. Rien ne va plus.

For everyone missing the date this will mean

Hi Camiel, you'll be doing plenty of local driving during the weekend how about joining some of the other Thursday arrivals and jump on the train to London on Friday morning, the station is 100 metres from the hotel. I can recommend some lovely London pubs and you don't have to drive back.

Are you joining us for dinner on Thursday evening ? Have you changed your hotel to include the Thursday ?

Don't forget you have to pay your river crossing at Dartford in advance or within 24 hours, details are on www.mgfim.org

Hi Camiel,

the event will finish on Sunday afternoon at The Lodge, our event headquarters. Not too late for people to go home, at least via Dover/Duinkerke.

See you soon

Or Harwich-Hook, it's a short drive to Harwich, Bjorn-Erik and Liv are getting the Sunday night boat.

The cars should finish driving around 4.30pm with your evening buffet waiting for you so those that want to get away can do so. Those going to Harwich will have plenty of time. The Lodge is less than two hours from Harwich.

Camiel, I've just checked the hotel list, you have booked your room for Friday until Sunday. If you're coming on Thursday you will need an extra night.
