No problem enjoy the journey (take the A507 from Buntingford to Baldock from the A120/A10) it's a lovely road that our cars are made for. You can come back the same way too as it will bring you back to Essex, or take the A1 to the A414 to Chelmsford and then the A130 or the A120/A1060 from Bishops Stortford again to Chelmsford three lovely journeys. Don't follow your sat-nav it will take you A12/M25/A1 boring.

See you by 7pm for dinner.

Unless the SatNav is set to ignore motorways as mine is for everyday. Just change it to drive across Belgium in fastest way.

Just arrived home after a great weekend in Essex.

Big vote of thanks to Adrian and his friendly and well-organised team - we were made to feel most welcome - had some great runs with interesting 'visits' - very nice hotel and most impressive HQ.

Thanks again to everyone involved!

Well organised, great food, great hotel, & a superb place for the HQ!!
The catering at The Lodge was exceptional especially the sausage & mash & there was plenty of choice!!
Great to see some old faces (Steve F) & meet a few new ones.
The runs were good with lovely villages etc, the only thing I didn't take to was the olde Saffron Waldon coffee shop ritual of throwing a cup off coffee over the northerners but on the plus side we did get a 50% discount
An area team that can even rustle up a wheelchair for an injured attendee truly has every angle covered!!
Lin (Opie) had a cracking weekend I heard  ....................sorry Lin get well soon xx
Well done it was a credit to the Essex team.
And for those that I bored on the subject of classic bikes this is what I bought on the way to the meet.

We have also just returned home safely, no problems on the way apart from one massive jam in Belgium, right after the border (accident). For both of us, this weekend could well have stretched over the while week, it was just so great. Beautiful routes, interesting visits, yummy food and lots of old and new friends to meet – you can’t really wish for more, can you?

And all this managed by the wizards of the Essex group, who did not only plan all eventualities but also quickly adapted to the odd unforeseen challenge. Without putting anyone in the second row, I’d like to pick out Steve, who did a fantastic job over the weekend, working tirelessly to keep all cars on the road. Having experienced similar problems on other tours, the value of having an experienced mechanic in the team (and a fully fledged workshop to go with it!) can’t be overestimated. Thank you so much, all of you! :thumbsu:

Amélie and I had a gorgeous weekend and we are really looking forward to what 2017 will bring. Nevertheless we hope to see as many of you as possible much sooner, probably at MGF20 in August!

And Camiel, you are a very naughty boy, stand in the corner!

Just arrived home (but not without further drama - more about that later).

We also congratulate Adrian, Andy and all the Essex crew for a very memorable MGFIM 2015

Also must give thanks to the Holiday Inn for their help in accepting our late request for Sunday night & upgrading us to a bigger room so Lin could have the extra space (even if it was right next door to the gym, Lin declined the treadmill this morning :) )

Also, must thank Southend A&E for all their help on Sunday.

Neil - Lin forgives you :)
