:) Hi Nacho !
I planned to take part at the EEOTY 2017 in your area. You know I expect for long to come down to Spain to attend an Iberian Meeting. It would be great to have the opportunity to attend the two events in only one journey. It's a long and expensive journey to be with you in the deep South of Europe ! I checked for a ferry; to avoid some hundreds of kilometers to my car. But from Belgium we don't have any company that cover such a binding or a part of it  . So we have to travel to France, Holland or England !!! to take an expensive crossing and win verry few kilometers in total :thumbsd:. The ballance "Km won / money spent" is realy not a good deal. For all this reasons I don't plan to come often so far in the South. REGRETTABLY !

:thumbsu: I sincerly hope it will be possible to connect the two events in 2017 ;)

Marina.

We have just arrived home from our visit to the 8th Iberian meeting. From the outset we were made very very welcome thanks to our hosts Nacho and Ramses. They put us at our ease as soon as we met and they helped us in every way possible, translating when necessary. The other MG participants were just as helpful and kind and we never felt out of place or left out of anything. They all treated us as if we were one of their club members. The planned routes took us to some wonderful places including driving up the Picos de Europa, 12 kgs long, very narrow and with lots of bends, a must for all MG's. The meals we were taken to were typically Spanish having several courses at each setting, and not being served until 11pm at night!
We cannot thank our hosts and their friends enough for the wonderful time that we had. It all ended too soon and we were on our way back to the UK stopping at a couple of places on the way. We actually drove 2600 miles there and back but as stated we did make a couple of detours. We were awarded the plaque for furthest travelled car which was presented at the awards dinner and we were very proud to have been the first UK enthusiasts to join them at their meeting and get the award.
Several of the Portuguese and Spanish drivers have shown an interest in Silverstone and may come over next year and we have said we will try and return to their next meeting which will take place in Portugal.

I know Colin, I really enjoyed the MGFEST07 and I felt myself like being at home. I'm looking forward to repeat the trip, but now with the kids I would need an extra TF and the double amount of money to make it real :sf:
