Press Release a couple of hours ago https://peterauto.peter.fr/files/evenem ... ss_Kit.pdf page 39 :thumbsu:

Those that have been before know what a treat is in store in a couple of weeks time. For those that have not, here's a little taster from MG Car Club Luxembourg

Words and photos by Stefanie Broch.

"From Friday the 8th until Sunday the 10th of July the 8th Le Mans Classic event took place.
With exeptional weather more than 123,000 spectators found their way to the famous race circuit to celebrate the history of the Le Mans 24 Hours.
More than 550 cars on track, representing the time period from 1923 - 1993, 1000 drivers, including 10 former winners of the 24 hours, were the right ingredients for a successful weekend.
Four of the six grids saw MG´s participating:

Grid 1 for Pre-war cars from 1923 - 1939 with 64 cars:

No. 22: Morris/Dowling/Curtis in a MG K3 from 1934 finished on 12th positition overall after 3 races.

No. 26: Gruau/Gaignard in a MG PA from 1934 finished on 41st place over all.

No.8: P. Julien in his MG PA from 1935 finished 50th over all

No. 66: Aga Khan/Prill/Clark/Tait in a MG PA from 1934 finished on 61st place over all.

Grid 2 for car from 1949-1956 with 73 cars:

No. 44: S. Evans/G.Evans in the MG TC Le Mans Special from 1949 finished on 37th place over all.

Grid 3 for cars from 1957-1961 with 74 cars:

No. 30: O. Mazoyer in his MG A from 1959 finished on 6th place over all.

No. 70: L. Paulus in his MG A from 1959 finished on 8th place over all.

Grid 4 for cars from 1962-1965 with 79 cars:

No. 29: E.Deleplanque in his MG B from 1965 finished on18th place over all.

No. 50: B. Sidery-Smith/J. Yea in a MG B Le Mans from 1965 finished on 50th place over all.

No. 30: J. Godety/N. Berthy in a MG B from 1965 finished on 55th place over all.

Among the innovations this year was the opening of the circuit on Friday morning so that practice session could be scheduled.

On Saturday afternoon the vehicles in grid 1 for pre-war cars (1923-1939) got ready for the official start of the 8th Le Mans Classic.
At 16:00 American star Pharrell Williams, singer and author, waved the French flag unleashing men and machines on the 13,629-km circuit. The race for the 6 grids covering the period 1923 to 1981 was under way and it continued into the next day.
On Sunday at 16:00 the chequered flag came down for the last time, finishing the 8th Le Mans Classic.

Congratulations to Simon Evans and Gareth (Bigfoot) Evans for their fantastic achievement of finishing 37th out of 73 cars in the MG TC Le Mans Special from 1949.

Already looking forward to the 9th Le Mans Classic in 2018."
