Some really sad news I am afraid that has to be shared. We had a phone call about an hour ago to let us know the a good friend, and very special person passed away a few hours earlier. Fabio Filippello was also the President of MG Car Club Italy, and the driving force behind MG By The Sea that Steffi and I so enjoyed last May. Fabio is an inspiration to those of us lucky enough to know him and the MG World is a sadder place due the loss of Fabio. We must continue to promote and enjoy all things MG as I know that's what Fabio would want. Rest In Peace Fabio my friend.

So sad about the news. My thought are with the family and friends. Wish you all the strength you need now.

We will not only regret the friend but a high-quality man as well.
In French we say “c'était une belle personne”.
At each “MG By The Sea” he was always welcoming and attentive to all of us with his natural kindness.
Ciao, Fabio, you will remain in our thoughts and our hearts; for ever bound to our best MG memories.

Sad news, I met Fabio a long time ago, ofcourse on a "MG by the sea" events and had occasional contact. A real friend that did everything possible to be the best host you could wish for. He'll be misssed by many.

My thoughts are with his wife, family and friend.

Fabio's funeral is in a few minutes time, today 14:00 Italian time (13:00 uk time) held at the Cimitero Acattolico di Roma, near the Piramide Cestia, in Rome
