Handbrake light
The light keeps lighting. Is it an easy job to fix?

Re: Handbrake light
This was a well known, well documented issue, especially in the early days; the commonest reason being that the microswitch is probably out of adjustment.
Lots of info on here from years gone by. Try searching eg Handbrake warning light switch etc

Thanks Mike.
Roverlike thanks for the reply, but it is Brake not break. (unless you are being held hostage and are signalling for help)

Re: Handbrake light
The brake light switch depends on it being held down by the spring load from the rear brakes. Seizing of the brake lever stops it travelling fully off hence not holding the lever down. Check by seeing if the light goes out when you hold the lever down. There is a gap check between the lever and the stop.
