Hi. I am sort of thinking of putting MGf running gear into a Morris 1100, but before I even contemplate it, what physical dimensions are the engine? Would it and the gearbox, etc fit I
Easily into the engine bay? Is the gear change cable, Rod, or some other method?

Don't know the engine/gearbox dimensions, but the gear change is by cable. If you search the Forum there is a long write up from someone putting an F engine in an Allegro.

The MGF uses a MG/Rover k series which are found in many models including the mk3 and 4 metro AKA the Rover 100.
Have a search for k series minis and you'll find all the info you need.

Thanks Nigel. I just need approximate measurements. Any chance you could use a tape measure and give me approximate height, width and length? That will tell me what mods I would need to make. The fact it is cable change makes things a bit easier. I also have to consider rotation and getting direction right, of courseā€¦

You're welcome. Rotation won't be a problem if you fit it with the engine on the O/S.

Have a look at https://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/t ... nversions/ for a bit of a clue.
