The price is cheap enough, it's the freight that kills it!

Andrew,
it went for 151.000 yen.

The edition number is
MGF(JAPAN) SERIAL NO 9702X ASSEMBLY TEAM JS1 DATE 21-02-97

However wee are talking about the jap Cup cars at the German Forum.
Do you know about different technical data of the Japan Cup Car versus the standard MGF ? (engine wise i.e. ?)

I know Ralph G. owns one in the UK. May be he could comment ?

My car is serial number 97004 built on 22/1/1997.

The Japan Cup cars were fitted with 1.8i engines - mine has now been replaced with a 1.8VVC to be Abingdon race spec. The cars are fitted with uprated hydragas spheres with different valving. Similar spheres were used in the Trophy production cars. The suspension height is measured at the rear wheel and must be a minimum of 310mm.

Dieter,
David Motram's e/x Japanese cup car had an almost standard 120hp engine, my car in standard VVC form could leave it behind, but the handling was far superior having individual spheres for each corner. David had just revamped the engine when the car was written off. The engine going into his Elise.
