Hi Andrew and all MGFriends Down Under,

just heard the news on the radio while having breakfast. Horror! Won't this nightmare ever stop? I desperately hope that you and all your loved ones and neigbours will be safe.

Please be assured that my thoughts are with you, like those of all others on the board as well, I am sure.

Keeping my fingers crossed,
Mykel

Almost unbelievable, hope everybody gets through this one safe. As if the flooding wasn't bad enough, how much more can one state take ?

Other than buildings have roofs blowen off and power lines brought down, so the critical things like a cold beer ....... It would seem that luck played an important part as there has been no loss of life, just destruction. People say there is no global warming! Whilst they were fighting storms our SES ( State Emergency Service ) were back burning brining an 8000 hectare bush fire under control and 200KM further north more flooding with Swan Hill being threatnd withh devistation by water. This is a country of extremes.

That's for sure Andrew. How about the storm that hit one third of the US yesterday, such snow (even in Texas !).

After weeks and a terrible 24 hours prior to our concours, the result was this. We do have sunny days sometimes, the picture taken by Ron Begg from the MG CC Geelong who the day before had been cut off for hours from Melbourne due to more b****y rain.

The weather at the moment is completely nuts, with QLD bearing the brunt.

Oz has always been a country of extremes.

Just glad there where no fatalities

There were over 30 F/TF's on display, not every one entered the concours.
The purple F on the back right was the eventual winner, a 1999 MG F 1.8MPi with over 160000km's, a very standard original car even down to the radio, must be one of the last!
