To be fair, the actual new one doesn't look half bad:

They got the front end quite nice indeed, but the waistline and the back are very Z4-ish imho.

'02 TF 160 - an Original MG Rover Group Press Car...and still lookin' sharp!

Bilstein Shocks, Z&F Remap, B&G Coolant Alarm, Glass Rear Screen, Braided Hoses, Bling-free at the moment...but that'll probably change

From the images I saw on Piston Heads, I thought the front end bore more than a passing resemblance to the F Type. It looks ok I guess, but I would have been more impressed if Mazda could have come up with something original for a change. Call me Mr Biased but I'll take a well sorted F/TF any day :D

I’ll join that group of prejudice any day, Phil. 8-)

And has anybody ever heard of the Japs coming up with something original in the first place? Afaik the Mazda engineers spent ages to reproduce the sound of an MGB gearbox when designing the first MX 5.
