My daily drive is a Holden SUV, recently I parked at my dad's house and we settled for a drink. Soon there's a noise on the roof, he opens the front door and it's hailing. His garage is full of stuff, so there's nowhere to get the car under cover. My dad's seen most things in his long and wonderous life, he grabbed my arm and said" You're too late" as the golf ball size hail boomed off the roof and bonnet, echoing up the lane.
Since I'm working from home the car sits under cover for the whole week, I only take it out for an hour or two a week.
"How unlucky is that", I started to lament; out of the garage for 1/2 hr and it's a write-off. Yep, over A$6000 damage by the hail ( 3000 GBP )
"Unlucky?" says my dad, "No your lucky", "in fact you're Bloody Lucky!"
"BLOODY LUCKY YOU DIDN'T DRIVE YOUR MG TODAY"
