Hi "Miguel" from Fareham, Hants, signing on ......!

Post by Miguel-MGF » Mon Dec 03, 2012 11:40 pm

Hi all,
I new to this site although I have viewed on occasions. I have been a member of MG-Rover.org for a few years & thought it about time I had some 2nd opinions on things. No doubt many of you are on there too ! My username on there is MGF-Gertrude !
I have had Miguel for just over 6 mths & he is so far running very well. Had cambelt changed & had service done over last 3 mths.
I have purchased 2 almost perfect front wings & will have them fitted early next year when finances allow ! Will also respray whole of front of car at same time to blend in. Interior perfect !
He is an Anthracite MGF 1.8i, from 2001.
I will be a regular poster on technical section & will try not to be too much of a pest !
Regards Tony. (Fareham Hants on South Coast)

Welcome to the South Coast Region.

Not sure if you have found your way over to the SC board yet, but we have two monthly pub meets - both are not far from you. The MGF Register meet is at the Bucks Head, Meonstoke - just up the A32 from Fareham and held on the 2nd Thursday of the month. dates are always on the forum though. The other meet is at the Dolphin, Hursley - just east of Romsey. Held on the last Tuesday of the month and we join the AWC natter, although most of us own F's & TF's.

Hope to see you at one of these soon, oh and of course, if you fancy finding out what a great handling car the "F" is, then there are always Track Days - and I'm your man for info on those. :thumbsu:

Hi Tony
AWC Natter is probably the Abingdon Works Centre Natter. One of the centres or regions within the overall MG Car Club
I am not sure where they meet though so may have only answered half of your question 8-)

Hi Tony,
Welcome to the forum! Just up the road from you in Titchfield! Been busy rebuilding my "Snowdrop" over the winter period, aiming to have her finished in a month or so. Hoping to do few runs soon, if you go to one of the meetings give me a shout, would love to tag along?

Hi, Tony and Ian and welcome to the MGF Register forums.

I too am in Titchfield so we're all pretty close.

I'm the Regional Rep for the South Coast region but for a variety of reasons have not had the time recently to get on the forum as often as I'd like so apologise for not getting back to you sooner.

As already mentioned above we hold 2 regular meets a month - the details of which are published each month in the South Coast area of this forum. One meet - the Buck's head one - is our own meet and is purely MGF/TF owners. The other meet is a local natter which comes under the Abingdon Works Centre umbrella and is attended by owners of MGs of all shapes, sizes and models.

We also try to get one or two other meets in from time to time depending on weather and peoples other commitments.

It would be great to see you both at one of our meets soon. Our next one is at the Dolphin Inn at Hursley on 30th April.

If you have any questions email or PM me or just dive right in on the South Coast section of the forum.
