New MGF owner in Bristol

Hi all,
Just purchased my first MGF. 1998 1.8 VVC with 43000 on the clock. I knew she had a water leak when I bought her so she is in MJN Bristol being sorted.
She came with a hard top, stainless exhaust, stainless coolant pipes, low coolant warning, day running lights, glass heated rear screen and so many spares I could hardly get in the car to drive her home. Pads and discs, a spare cat, two wishbones, spare headlights and tailights. Tonneu cover, top cover, full car cover! Hard top stand and cover. So for the £800 I paid for her even with the cost of repairs I am a happy man. I have just bought a set of X power roll hoops ,second hand, to allay the Memsahibs fear for her bonce. As you can see she came with a private number plate. I have changed the plates to read as they should. I already own a 75 tourer which I have had for a couple of years and replaced the front and rear bumpers to MG ZTT spec.

Congratulations - a real bargain.
Look like maybe a suspension pump up could be on your to do list?

Hi Steffi, I have spent a fair bit of time around Koln. Worked at the Koln Arena lots and also at the E Werk in Deutz and at the old Messe. Whereabouts near Koln are you?

Thanks for all the replies. I will have to get the suspension checked. She hasn't hit any speed bumps yet! First car I have had for a long time which has made me smile every time I get in it.

Got my car back from MGF today and just drove her home. She sounded lovely but taking Marks advice and not taking her over 3000rpm for a while. I have to take her back after 500miles so the run to POL will do that nicely. Looking very nice with her roll hoops fitted but I can't make my mind up about the windbreak. It fits OK but because the hoops lean forward (X power ones) the windbreak leans forward a little too. No doubt the Memsahib will point out the error of my ways when her barnet gets blown about! Will I be able to join the register stand at POL or do I have to pre book?
