Hi and welcome.
Yes the roof unclips from behind the seats ~ 5 clips (watch your fingers as they can be a bit fierce) - unclip the front catches first to release the tension. Lift up the roof and remove the parcel shelf and sound deadening material and you'll see a metal plate. There are about 11 bolts including 3 under the T bar.

Hi and welcome to the forum, and to the friendly world of the MG
I would second this, undoing the catches at the front is defiantly a good move.nigelandjo wrote:Yes the roof unclips from behind the seats ~ 5 clips (watch your fingers as they can be a bit fierce) - unclip the front catches first to release the tension.

Welcome, I'm from Gloucestershire too, it's certainly been fun owning an MG so far, it involves it's fair share of TLC though!
