Post by Racman » Sun Aug 20, 2017 4:10 pm

Hello Guys and Girls.

Thank you for having me.

l'm Welsh, living in Luton and do a fair bit of travelling.
I'm considerirng buying an MGF.

I's going to be a cheapy, whatever I an find at the right price. Hope it'll be a Steptronic.

What do I need to look for?

Will Steptronic take a bit of tuning?

Are they all hydragas suspension?

Please spill the beans.

Bar is open and money deposited behind by the way,

Cheers

Racman

Will Steptronic take a bit of tuning? Probably, but you might encounter issues with the gearbox as it's only available with the 1.8i, not the VVC because it can't cope with the higher power output.

Are they all hydragas suspension? All MGFs are. The TF has springs and shock absorbers.

And welcome to the MGF Register Forum.

Hi and welcome

They only did the steptronic as a 120bhp in the TF as the box isn't that strong, most TF were 135bhp.
