Hello one and all;
I have been lurking around various forums for some time trying to decide which modern classic we were going to buy for our slightly ancient bones to use on sunny top down days.
My list of potential drop top modern classics also included the MG B GT fitted with Webasto roof, but SWMBO knocked that thought very firmly on the head, she also wasn't at all interested in any thoughts of me buying a RWA Midget, despite the fact that I had owned one from new way back in the 70's, so instead the list finally came down to the Alfa Romeo Spider (I don't like FWD), BMW Z3 (too big and too expensive to maintain), Toyota MR2 Mk1 (rust), Mazda MX5 Mk1 (personally I still love them but SWMBO doesn't) and finally the MGF in its original form.
We haven't bought one yet but living where we do, we are very fortunate to have a mark specialists quite literally just down the road, so just as soon as I have finished knocking around and generally rebuilding our cottage and finally getting down to clearing out the garage workshop we will be popping off down the A1 to pick up a gem.
All the best
