B road rat bag

Post by Badger » Wed Aug 29, 2018 4:59 pm

Hello, I have just spent the best £550 ever! After entering my third year of ownership of a very quick but boring 280bhp mk1 tt I fancied a change. Truth be told I was ready for a change after the first year of ownership but couldn't think of anything that would be as capable.

The search turned to something more fun with a sense of occasion at the speed limit. That ruled out the mx5 as I have always found them too predictable with a bland engine. Enter local mgf for sale, a bit of an overall nightmare and was slightly paying too much as had a few niggles but I had a vision of how it would be in a short space of time....it was mine.

First thing was to disable to epas, best ever free mod, the feedback and feel is now perfect. The front tyres needed replacing so a pair of toyos to match the new rears were sourced and fitted, tyres all pumped up to spec and the handling is transformed.

Outside had a lick of paint on the wheels, bumpers, air intakes, wing mirrors as I don't like gold that much, interior is being stripped to just what I need, not going mad.

Here she is.
