3 years MG-less was long enough. I flirted with a Mazda MX-5, which was a very good drive but rather prone to rust, plus the local club members were into modifications and drifting, which are not my things.
I am taking a chance on buying a 1998 MGF in Amaranth from a dealer some distance away without going to see it. Well, it's a couple of week's wages so hardly a disaster if it turns out to be a dog and I have the winter months to proper check her over. It's done 83k and comes with a full MoT with 2 minor advisories.
I'm back!

Re: I'm back!
Welcome back! It's surprising what you can get for a small outlay. In 1963, I bought a 1936 Morris 8 Tourer for £15, I used it for 11 years, when it was sold to help with the deposit on our first house, I got £150 for it. To my surprise I found out a few months ago that it is still on the road.
