Post by Matt f » Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:20 am

Hi

I am wondering who people recommend for servicing in Wiltshire? as I have just purchased a MG TF 160
With 19k in the clock and am looking to get the cam belt done.

Hi Matt,
to be honest, I would recommend Austin Garages up in Burton Upon Trent.
Nick is fair, honest and really knows his stuff, and in addition to looking after my modern MG fleet, also has regular customers from mainland Europe as well.
Another option could be Martin Smith down in Somerset, I believe he might also do this kind of work now. Martin helped me out a few weeks ago with my relays so the drivers window would go back up again. Martin again is a very trustworthy guy.
Cheers
Colin

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I can't recommend any bricks and mortar garages in your area but there are only a few anywhere in the country that are as good as the mobile boys.

AE Wilcox in Wickwar, just north of Bristol are a long time MG Rover dealer and know the cars very well. Take my TF's and ZT260 to them for servicing and MOTs.

Another vote here for Jon and the guys at Wilcox.

They have looked after my F, my ZS180, and my 2 TF's over the years. Years of experience and so much spares stock available.
