Hello and welcome.

Ask away, there's no such thing as a silly question.

Hi Cliff,
Welcome to the forum!
I see that you are in the Midlands, which is good news for you as the Register has two regions that covers this area. Steve looks after The Heart of England, and I’m the Rep for the Midlands Borders Region.
Now that summer is here and we’re getting closer to the final stages of lifting lockdown I do hope to have a evening meet to the north of Birmingham, and also somewhere in Worcestershire. More details of exact locations when I have them. If you would like to join in then please let me know.
I will, of course, be at Gaydon for the MFG25 celebrations. If you would like to join the regional parking please let me know, or just come and say hello!

Tyres, life of 5 years?
I have falkens all round, and noticed they're cracking on the side walls. I'm told by tyre fitters that it's due to age and lack of use. True I only drive my 2001 F on nice days in the summer, but 4 tyres every 4/5 years is beyond the pale, they have done less than 200 miles. What are your thoughts ?

Use the car more, or put it on axle stands when you don't use it. The cracking is caused by the bottom of the tyres being under compression while standing for a considerable time.
