Hello from Herne Bay

Post by rodders » Sun Apr 04, 2010 9:24 pm

After the diff locking on our mx5 and nearly takiung the missus out i took a punt on an MGF.
Always wanted one. Used to have a midget.
I love customising my vehicles and polishing.
Just spent all day machine polishing the old girl.
Its a 1.8 non vvc i think.
Looks lowered but unsure.

Hi and welcome

The F looks good.

I know Herne Bay well, my great grandfather built a house in Beltinge before the war and failey lived there until my grandmother died about 10 years ago.

There is an MG specialist garage just outside Sittingbourne called EMS (executive motoring services) if you need work or servicing.
Home to black Alfa 159 3.2 V6 Q4, blue MGZR160, green MGF VVC and grey MGF 1.8i, and red MG Maestro T16.

Welcome to the F Register :thumbsu:

It is important you know if you have a VVC or not as the insurance group is different to ensure you have the correct cover. Your vin number should tell you what you have. The 8th character should be G for VVC & T for non VVC. The rev counter is the real give away, red lines at 7250 rpm.

If the car has not been lowered it may just need the suspension pumped back up to standard spec.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm visit Beltinge most weekends, and used to live in Herne Bay. I run an MG Rover specialist garage near Sittingbourne, and members of this forum get 10% discount on labour from us.

BTW your car is a 1.8i (i.e. not VVC)
