SIMON'S COTSWOLD TULIP RALLY 15 SEPT 2013
Arriving at the Dog House, Frilford, Abingdon, OX13 6QJ at 0900 for a 0930 start, coffee and bacon rolls available, come and enjoy a pleasant drive through quite stunning scenery. The drive is approx. 65 miles and will take about two hours - you may decide to stop on the way to take in the lovely villages so it may take longer.
I will be at the end of the route to guide you into 'free parking' in front of the car museum. These people love MG's and their thinking is that by parking outside this will attract more visitors. There are also places for the ladies to look around, i.e perfumery, model village and lots of lovely shops. There are plenty of places to eat with an assortment of food and all at reasonable prices.
Anyone without a sat nav travelling North on A34. Turn off at Abingdon, 1st left A415 towards Marcham. Then 1st right. Follow about 2 miles to the Dog House on right hand side.
All those interested In coming please append names below

I know the Dog House, a natter pub. I have sent runs past it and we were forced to check it out
See you there and happy to wait till the end of the tulip to find where that is.

Hi Simon,
This sounds great, but for me it will be car dependant. Watch this space....I will let you know closer to the time

I am absolutely gutted! This is my 'local' pub, I am there in the PM for my mother in law's 60th birthday party BUT this run is 2 days before my head gasket is being replaced.

Might take the opportunity to pop up in my rubbish car and meet you all for a bacon roll though

Yes do come along and join us for a coffee and bap on Sunday. You can do the run in your car it is not a problem. Only thing is you would have to park separately at the finish as the mg's are booked to park outside the museum. Again, that is not a problem. Will be good when you get your head gasket fixed. Are you having it done locally?

Russell from mg rover solutions is coming to do it would be good to meet for coffee. Won't be able to do the run as the wife needs the car for 'party preparation'. Look forward to seeing everyone there

Re: SIMON'S COTSWOLD TULIP RALLY 15 SEPT 2013
It is with regret that I have decided to cancel the Tulip Rally due to lack of interest. I feel it is not viable to ask the Dog House to put on bacon rolls and coffee for so few and also
the museum at the end of the run were expecting a few more cars for their prime parking. I apologise to those who have shown an interest but am sure you will understand my position. The rally papers are all ready so, maybe next year!

Noted Simon. I know how much effort goes into setting up a run so it's sad news

Simon it is such a shame you have had to call your run off especially with all the hard work you have put into it. Hopefully as you say we can do it next year. John & Tricia.
