New Regional rep for the Thames Valley

Post by Keith Williams » Mon Apr 27, 2015 6:59 pm

I am happy to say we have had not one, but two offers of support for regional reps in the Thames Valley area.

Ian Wright (Worzel) has stepped into the role and another rep will be added shortly.

I welcome Ian to the team and hope that members in the area support him in this position.

I also thank John Minns who has acted as 'caretaker' rep for the time period we have been without a regional rep.

Thanks Keith, look forward to continuing building the Thames Valley region following John holding the reins.

For those in the Thames Valley area, please feel free to come to our informal and fun social night at the Shire Horse, Bath Road, Littlewick Green, Maidenhead, Berks, from 7.30pm on Thursday14th May.

Pub has a large car park so we can all park together and have a good old nose at each other's cars, a lovely garden area, tasty great value food (2 9oz Rump Steak for £15 on a Thursday) and if the Blighty weather does it's usual, plenty of secluded space inside for us.

Would be great to meet you all and say hi :thumbsu:

Hi Ian,

Good luck with the Thames Valley area. If any of your members fancy a trip over the border, the South Midlands area will be meeting at Jack's Hill Cafe - on the A5 just outside Towcester - Friday 8th May, which is classic car night from 6:00pm and for breakfast around 9:00am on Sunday 10th. www.jackshillcafe.co.uk
We have a few members around the Buckingham area so keep us posted with any events we can join in with.
Regards Gary

Thanks Gary, will certainly keep it in mind and will let you know our diary as soon as it's sorted
Always good to go International and cross the border, especially if a breakfast is involved ;) :thumbsu:

John wanted the Thames Valley to work so badly that he and his wife Trish gave up their time every month to go to the 'natter' pub in the hope that someone would come along. Invariably they were on their own but they never gave up. I think they BOTH deserve a bIg pat on the back.

See you Thursday John and Trish

Fully agree Simon, John made myself and my Wife very welcome when we met him for the first time last month at The Shire Horse, so much so that I decided to have a go along with Andy at carrying on from his sterling commitment to the region.
