Good pub in your area

Post by Keith Williams » Tue Oct 13, 2009 7:10 pm

Was down near to Abingdon today for work and was taken to lunch in a lovely pub.

Just in case it is not known to you, the White Hart at Tyfield is an excellent pub with good parking, good garden and georgeous food http://www.whitehart-fyfield.com/. A really classy restaurant in a great oldy world pub. It is so much better on the inside that it looks from the outside.

No Simon did not get to try the pork. I felt a little guilty over the cost for the supplier as there was 5 of us from work and he footed the total bill, so we all just went for the set lunch. Pumkin soup & salmon fish cakes with big chips to follow for me. Was really scummy though.

Only a stones throw from the Dog House but the food is considerably better (more restaurant level than pub level) but is more expensive. But cost OK when you are not paying for it yourself :D

Not much to look at from the outside but well good inside.
