Abingdon Air & Country Show

Post by TimM » Sun May 06, 2012 10:00 pm

Another one of the MGF Registers BIG weekend out was at the Abingdon Air & Country Show (following on from Donington Historic, Highlander and Brands hatch racing !) - Which one were yout at ?

It was cold to start with at Abingdon but warmed up a bit in afternoon in time for the air displays - usual mix of stalls, exhibits, tanks, re-enactments, falconry, ferrets, llamas, classic cars, aeroplanes, helicopters (including one flying upside down - how do they do that ?), singers, fairground and...MGs !

Here's some pics for a taster of the event......

Nice photos. Thanks. I was looking at Richard's photos on Facebook as well, looks like you had nice weather. One question though, how does the owner of the LE500 keep the front so immaculate without any stone chips? Mine's been resprayed once already, and could probably do with it again but then it must be said I have 26k miles of lots of motorway driving.

Hi,if you got a rain shortage just call for me (its following me),Great time at Brand Hatch but very very wet (like Castle combe a couple of weeks ago)Any way we finished all our racing with no damage unlike the 4 other trophy cars written off,a class win for Mike in the Midget and 3 out of 3 for me plus a best finish of 13th.Day off today to do some gardening, yes in the Rain! ;)

Agreed. An excellent day out - and much, much warmer than when we were last there in 2010!

Have to admit it is not a high mileage car, but the front bumper has been resprayed (under warranty) and the Chipex Touch-up Kit gets frequent use.
