MG90 photos and videos
Please post your MG90 event photos and videos here. I am sure there will be plenty taken over the weekend, so lets keep them all together in one place so they don't get lost in the general threads

My 12 runs from the California cup. Sorry the team couldn't bring home a win but against those Ulster Midgets we didn't have much chance. Well done to Pippa though for Fastest Lady of the day.

Re: MG90 photos and videos
Did anybody else see those Midgets perform in the Arena when the California Cup was awarded, even Russ Swift was complimentary. John Day suggested we let them show off a bit, so I arranged five plastic chairs in a pattern for them to race around, wow, those cars move and they know how to handle them. Congratulations to the Ulster Centre and their Midgets.

Re: MG90 photos and videos
I did, Adrian, and it was a superb performance indeed! It is alway amazing to see how well a car about the same age as myself can handle even by todays standards. And stunning looks they have, too! I liked the bright blue one best, would be a fine match to my Wedgewood on the drive
And the exhaust sound was gorgeous as well, I bet when that engine is given a good thrashing in Co Down they can hear it in Liverpool.

Mykel- good to meet you!
I still maintain that you and Adrian are either very brave, very trusting or just plain old nuts to put your respective pride and joys in the same arena as Russ- no matter how impressive his skills are!

Probably the latter Stuart, I'm still finding bits of rubber everywhere on me and in the car.

I'm backing that completely, but I was in a safer position than Adrian because I had a very brave co-driver with me.adrianclifford wrote:Probably the latter Stuart ...
Amélie managed to take some quite good footage (albeit only with the iPhone camera) and I will try to put a video together shortly.

Re: MG90 photos and videos
I've done video on the I phone too, using the rear view mirror to catch Mykel, how do I take it from there to the forum, I've never used You Tube as I know that's an option. The screaming was not me or my passenger, it was the lady in Russ's car.
Quite interesting to get the view from inside the car I can tell you, he is very close when he does the J turn as the nose is right alongside my o/s mirror but I video'd the dance routine as we sit still for a few minutes, we don't need to move the cars.

Re: MG90 photos and videos
will go back through my cam footage and see if i have any of them doing what they do but to put it in context on one stage the F's were around the 26-27 second mark and the Ulster Midgets were posting 22-23 on it. They definatley make it look like an art form was stunning to watch.

Re: MG90 photos and videos
Took a few of my car on the timeline- thought I'd share- really enjoyed the weekend, was tucked down the end with the MG Midgets and the Midgets fitted with the K Series engines- not one was engineered the same, but that great little lump fits beautifully in that engine bay!
Met a lot of great people.. Looking forward to next year, and mostly to parking in the register parking among my cars' own kind!

Re: MG90 photos and videos
Another Excellent MG Live - or MG90 for this year!
Great weather , great crowds, loads of great MGs.
The Register were involved with organising lots of things this year and could also be found helping out or taking part......
....the After Hours Party, Glo Car Competition, Rocker Box Racing, main stand in a boiling marquee, Register parking in the hot sun, presenting the Gas Turbine and Turbo MGFs in the arena, charity auction, cars in the Timeline, car in the main marquee and entered a team in California Cup for the first time. There were also register F/TFs to be found in the Concours and POO and out on the track where the Register Sponsored CSA "Racing Red" was competing again and also in the Sprint where Project Shed went through its paces.
There was a lot going on over the weekend and it all just flew by - a big thank you to all those involved from the Register for making it happen and also to the main Kimber House organising team who did an absolutely brilliant job
Here's a few pics to try and sum up the Register's weekend

Re: MG90 photos and videos
And here’s some more pics from the auction on Saturday evening. Tim and Adrian did a tremendous job to raise funds for the worthy cause, with Tim getting people to dig even deeper in their pockets and Adrian going for a swift delivery of items … and eventual collection of the dough
First to go was an original MG NAC flag produced shortly after the takeover by the Chinese. A very rare item: The winner looked still a bit puzzled, probably he was just thinking about where to put it. Next came an original, numbered LE 500 badge, originally intended to go on the car but the idea was dropped. Again, Adrian placed the item in the hands of the new owner, making sure they were emptied of any spare notes before.
