MGF Register Goes To France

Post by Worzel » Wed Sep 19, 2018 7:33 pm

Here's a few pics of the fantastic weekend spent in France and the Somme area. Great laughs, brilliant company, stunning weather and empty roads (just don't mention Route Barree)

Full set of pics available on the MGF Register facebook page.

Looks great - Route Barree is found all over France - quite often it is worth ignoring!

It was indeed a great weekend, only made possible by Worzel & Angie: thanks to both of you for the comprehensive arrangements and to all for the warm welcome and banter.

I DID get caught in a bit of a pincer movement between two unnamed participants, who thought I'd benefit greatly from a subscription to something called 'FasTForward'. :-) I found the subscription link on the website this morning, so stumped up the cash: thought I'd better, before they come round with baseball bats!

This was our first foray over the channel in our recently-acquired F, and were well-pleased. I learned quite a few things about the F, knowing very little at the moment. The next lesson is fixing a knackered rear screen, which cracked, quite loudly, when I foolishly collapsed, it when cold.

DOH! [slaps head]

We had an amazing time..
laughed all weekend , thank you Ian and Angie , but also thank you to everyone that made us feel so welcome. I was a little nervous about not really knowing anyone.
Glad you subscribed Phil as I write a piece about our region.. send me some pics and I will add it for the next edition.. won’t be as comprehensive as Ian’s but we have to show the rest of Anglia what they missed

The trick is to make sure there are no creases in the plastic as the roof goes down.
