Hmmm, bit early i suppose, considering that the event hasn't started yet, but here's an MGFIM related picture to kick this thread off with!

Image

This is the last 'old' tyre off of Scarlet in preparation for the event this weekend - this one has done about 31K miles, but, as always, the inner rim has now finally gone.

SF always knocks out the inner rims of her tyres, but this one dates from just before the accident in 2003 (the last of that batch) - the car had just over 100K on the clock then and now has just over 131K, so 31,000 miles :)

Car feels a lot better now i've had it done though :D

well a 2003 tyre is 6 years old and about to retire anyway, so 31kmiles or 75km or none, you should change tyres in the near future ;)

Any change in brand or do we have to check SF next weekend to see your new choice? :sf:

Take care, safe journey see you all Friday :thumbsu:

I've got new tyres Kasper - not sure what they are but they came with the car. Seem to be wearing OK so far - well over 1150 miles.

Err, what could I show on a picture before the Event
- The tyres are new .. immediate demand after EEOTY 09 (don't ask me why ... ) 8-)
- The HEF-MG96 dent at the rear wing is removed (dent is gone but the car is three-tone silver now)
- And today she's got a new clear front window with not any sticker, beside of the green one
:?
So nothing to see

Just got into the office, drove to Emma's last night and stayed there, then up early to face the perils of the M25 pre-rush hour to get to the office in time for a large dose of 'back to reality'.

Despite the incidents on the road runs, i thought the event was excellent - congratulations to the organisers and count me in for next year.

I hope all got home safely, we were in convoy with Dave and Trish on the way back to Dunkerk, but got split up upon exiting at Dover - we didn't see you on the M20 so i presume the windscreen remained insitu for the rest of the journey home.

We missed the Roadsters leaving Centre Parcs, our ferry was at 6pm, i am not sure what time your train was. Did you get home OK?

I'm sure there will be lots of pics from the event to follow. :D

Hi all, the Essex Roadsters got home ok, Andy's sorry looking TF also gained a rear wheel bearing issue half way home but it made it back to Essex ok. The train was 16:20 but we made good time and got an early departure of which Colin must have been on as we past him in the ZT260 entering the M25. Good time had by all, definately thinking of repeating next year.
After a nicebreak and spending 4 days with MGFs i'd better get back to work and start servicing erm... MGF's

Glad you all got home OK, Dawn and I didn't see Dave and Trish either but he said he wanted to top up (again :thumbsd: ) with fuel. Steptronics are a bit thirsty aren't they Dave ? We topped up on Saturday, having used only a tankfull to get from home to Daphne's, then to De Eemhof and most of the big road run. We didn't need fuel on Sunday or Monday so we kept going with what we had and we still have a quarter of a tank left even driving at the speeds we were.

After five days (for us) of sun it was strange to drive in the darkness and coming up the M20 we passed all of you and all bar one, you all had your hoods down too :thumbsu: Respect !!

I think Dave did what i did at the services in Holland - 1.41.9 per litre was extortionate, so I didn't brim the tank - i put in 50 Euros worth, which is pretty much £50.00 worth as the exchange rate is for all intents and purposes 1:1 at the moment. This saw us back to Emma's and then me to work this morning, but i am going to have to fill up on the way home tonight i think - missed out on £1.04 fuel in Wilmington this morning too (got up late and had to leg it to work round the M25 and up the M11)

Nice pics Neil, Herbie that's a good little camera you both have.

Don't forget to send them in to the film crew for the DVD.
