Southend Supper Run

Post by cath's mg » Sun Oct 13, 2013 1:16 pm

Just been chatting with Ken, well trying too, Ken struggled to stay awake after Cath's home made fresh rolls filled with bacon  (it is a struggle....... Ken).

We have put together a "Southend Supper Run" on Saturday 9th November.

Meet at South Mimms Services ( J23 M25) at 15:30, for 16:00 departure.

M25 to J29 (A127) into Southend. About 60 - 90 minute run.

As an added attraction to the Fish & Chips supper or whatever else you fancy, the 9th is the last firework display of the season,
also there should be a variety of cars cruising the high road.
The weather should not be a problem, lots of restaurants looking over the seafront.
It would be great if anyone from outside the Herts/N London area joined us.
Cath's car but Gary's plaything :-)

Hi Gary, yeah, we'll be there. I'll put the word around, I'm sure others will join in.

What I'll do is meet you on the way and bring you in on a nicer route.

Re the meeting point for the Southend Supper Run......after a discussion at the monthly meet on Monday at the Plough it was agreed to change the meeting point to the

The Plough Crews Hill
Cattlegate Road Crews Hill,
Enfield EN2 9DJ

We are planning to leave there at 4pm sharp.

If anyone from any other region fancy's joining us you are very welcome, it would be great to meet you.
If the Plough is not convenient, we could meet somewhere around junction 29 of the M25.

Gary, I'm afraid I'll have to bow out on this because one of Dawn's twin sisters has decided (Wednesday night) to celebrate their 50th birthday this Saturday. I'll ask at our pub meet this Thursday and see who else can make it, some are at the MGCC AGM Saturday afternoon.

Hi Adrian, No problem, Hope you both have a great time at the party :D
Ill PM you my number and perhaps you could pass it onto any Essex members who fancy meeting up. Im thinking of eating at Neptunes on the seafront, I know its not poshest of restaurants but it does have a good view of the Fireworks if its raining.
Hope to catch up soon.
