I hope Cath doesn't use that on you mate

Or Fabsil either.

To be honest its not something I would do with the hood on the car. Cath used a soap powder capsule in a bowl of water to clean it inside and out. As you can imagine it was taking an age to get the sudes out, but it did get all the pollen and grime out. So I came up with the idea of the jet wash, much to Cath's dismay :o :o
It worked a treat :D
Gave it a couple of coats or Renovo Hood Restorer, basically just because we had some, not because it really needed it.
Two coats of Fabsil and its looking pretty dame good :D :D

What a good idea to remove the roof to do this! How did you get the roof to dry before refitting? :)

The roof on N7 definitely needs some TLC - not least a replacement rear window to replace the cracked original! :o

To be honest Rob, we had only just got the top and it hadn't been on the car. The jet Wash was one of my crazy ideas that surprisingly Cath let me try :o
I was quite surprised how quickly it dried out, but it was during that warm spell we had 8-) and it was quite breezy. It only took a couple of hours to dry out, managed to get a couple of coats of rejuvenator on it the same day, inside and out ;). Left it over night before waterproofing :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

Might be a hood off, hard top on task then! I wonder whether it is easier to replace the rear screen with the soft top removed from the car, or with it fitted? Hmm...

Iv got to replace the screen in the hood that the jet washed one replaced , If the rivets ever turn up from the Bay of Thieves

I would imagine it would be a lot easier when off, you can drill the rivets without worrying about the swarf and it would be easier to work round.
The "how too's" iv seen recommend you release the tension on the screen, so no real advantage in doing it on the car if the hoods off already :D

I did it on the car a while back, but perhaps off the car is the way to go, along with a pressure wash and re-proofing afterwards?

If you do it off the car, bring it up and we can make use of Cath's expert Valet service, while we have tea & cake

I need to get Project Shed track day ready next weekend (will be at Snetterton on Monday) - but perhaps after that?

Cheers :thumbsu:

Thanks - will be the first opportunity to drive on the Federal 595RSR tyres in anger! Should be interesting! Hopefully the rear wheel bearings will survive to tell the tale!
