My MGF was mothballed for six months with battery disconnected, now reconnected the battery, the alarm system seems to be working but the immobiliser won't disengage to allow the car to start? Have tried self test etc and other possible remedies I found on line, without success. I have no hand book for the car so I have no Emergency access key code. If I can obtain this code will it disarm the immobiliser and allow the car to start?
Upon trying to start the car I can hear the fuel pump engage but the ignition system will not activate.
Any advise gratefully received

Re: Immobiliser problems EKA code
Hi and welcome to the forum.
From your post I am guessing the engine isn't turning over?
If so it is proberbly the starter motor, take the low ampage lead off and refit and see what happens.
