Gear gaiter

Post by Malcbox » Mon Apr 01, 2013 9:03 pm

Having sold my MGF last year, I am now getting round to finding bits that I bought and never used, but this beastie has come out of the shed.

I remember buying this from eBay; it was advertised to fit an MGF but when I came to fit it, it was soon apparent that it wouldn't!

I presumed at the time that I had got a gaiter for a TF, but now I come to try and re-coup my cash, I thought I'd best be sure.
The plastic ring on the base has the part number FJN100370IND (LND?) stamped into it, but a search of t'Internet draws a blank.

Anyone confirm or decry my presumtion?

Rimmers shows FJN100370 has alternative FJN100320 which is the ring for Rover75/MG-ZT

Thanks Geoff, I saw that, but from the line diagram, the part number seems to refer to the chrome finisher rather than the gaiter, which it turn doesn't appear to be an oval - but then the picture of the "Aubergine" assembly does look similar.....
