Being a bit nosey I took a look at the add, Looks v shiny :-) Sorry, no idea of history.
Reg number supports it as a 1996 red 1.8 mpi.

Might be worth checking if the SRS light is out when u go and see it, Im not sure what would make it stay on like in the picture. :-) Martin.

Would be nice to forward her details to the MGF Register
http://www.mgfregister.org/register

However, she was made 2.2.1996 and has got despatched on 29.2.1996 to COUNTY GARAGE (BARNSTAPLE) LTD, Haywards Heath, West Sussex
Her engine number should read 18K4FJ31 256724 (120PS) if it the original one.
Colour code COF for flame red and the seats where fabric style .
N918VOD

Hope this helps
Keep her running

Well those pictures were either taken a long time ago or he photo shopped them or something as the car I left with its owner was nowhere near as clean as those pics would have you believe.
No gas in the suspension so it was sat on the floor, every time I took it around a corner the front bumper would drag on the floor, gearchange, although selected ok was so loose it almost swung side to side as you drove it.
The coolant looked like it hadnt been changed for several years
Very tatty inside and out, most panels had large dents in them.
The hood had several holes which needed repairing....etc etc
I never expected a mint low mileage car without faults for that sort of money but to say the owner was liberal with the truth is an understatement.
After my short test drive I'm more determined than ever to buy an MGF but next time I think I'll be looking for one elsewhere.

Well someone else is in for a disappointment, that piece of junk just made 640 on fleabay.
I'll never buy blind or bid for another car unless it comes with a recommendation
Seen dealers charge less for one
Oh well, guess he or she can always walk away like I did

Whats your budget and area?

There are usually plenty of examples going for around the £800 mark which are in good condition, in fact I can see 2/3 for sale in that price bracket now.
