Help with new F

Post by dwkmgf » Wed Feb 04, 2009 1:32 pm

Having fallen foul of the ice yesterday and wrapped my F neatly into an insurance write off, the search is on to find another vehicle ASAFP - if not sooner.

So far two vehicles fit the bill - both being Steptronics. Problem for me is that one is in Newbury and the other is in Bristol. I am hoping that someone out there might be able to help me out and go and have a look at the two cars.

The Newbury one is at Woodland Autos, Boundary Road, Newbury, RG14 5RR and is a Freestyle. One thing they could not answer on the phone was why it did not have the standard Freestyle wheels but Trophy wheels - has it had the bigger brakes fitted.

The Bristol car is at Kingswood Motors, Hanham Road, Kingswood, Bristol, BS15 8PW.

If anyone can help that would be great.

Sorry Mr B - has to be a Steptronic. Can only drive an automatic.

In a moment of madness I considered asking if you were interested in mine. I've always had a fancy for a Trophy. However, the more I think about it the more I've decided that I like my car the way it is and I've more or less got it the way that I want it. So good luck with your search.

Did you buy the one from Kingswood Motors? I was about to offer to have a look at it for you, but I'm not in Bristol until Tuesday.

And I'm glad you've got the one you want Dave. We'll have to compare our "new" Fs next time we meet.... :thumbsu:

I can't believe the difference between this F and my other one. The splitter and spoiler make so much difference to motorway stability. The car also seems to accelerate smoother and quicker. And I have to say that the hard top does make the care really civilised in the winter. I know in the past I said that I would never have a hard top - but now I have got one many of the arguements have faded away.
