Well, it's 1053 of 1600, FWIW Adrian. Are you trying to map the LE numbers to VINs Adrian? :)

Thanks for posting the Pictures Rob. The car has now sold - It went for £2,000 (ish) from what I understand. Hopefully to a good owner or at least a Trader who knows its value :)

Wish I had the money to buy it myself Carl - but difficult to justify the purchase of a 3rd MGF/TF!

A BRM on the otherhand... ;)

No Rob, it's impossible to match unique numbers to vin's as 80LE's (and all special/limited editions except LE500's) were all built within and during the standard production run. It's just a data need for the Register (and I have a particular penchant as you know for the 80th anniversary model).

I am still trying to get the archive info from MG that may answer our many questions.

I took some Photos of the VIN, as I was tecnically not allowed to write them down ;) The picture didn't come out as well as I hoped, but is legible, just about. Will jot it down later. Been working on that Brake light switch, good job nobody took photos of the very odd looking position I got into while fitting it, though I do have very sore ribs now

Recently I was extremely lucky to purchase one of these in Black as per pictures above 135, N0 1289 out of 1600 according to the badge

The car currently has 53,446 miles on the clock, registered 24th May 2004 the MOT Is valid till 14th September 2017.
I have just had the Head Gasket replaced head checked skimmed, cam belt water pump replaced.

There is one very small what I think is a shopping trolley ding on N/S/F wing about the size of a fifty pence piece.

The roof has no rips tears or holes but needs a really good clean!!

Wheels need refurbishing & the seats are in excellent condition nice & red.

What do people think this is worth?

Looking forward to any comments

Cheers in advance

I'd imagine around £2250 looking at recent prices. Quite low mileage & important work has been done.
