Nasty accident and wrecked MGF :o(
My girlfriend was driving home from work on Friday when unknown to her a L200 pick up travelling towards her had been overtaking a series of cars in what witnesses describe as crazy driving.
He apparently pulled back to his side of the road then clipped the kerb sending him back onto the wrong side and into the path of my girlfriend. In what time she has she steered left but he still side-swiped her so hard that both o/s wheels were ripped off, windscreen and door glass smashed and the car was sent into a spin. Luckily my girlfriend escaped with a broken and cut nose and just cuts and bruises but the thought of what could have happened if she hadn't managed to move over is too much to think about.
After the accident several cars stopped to say what a lunatic the 4x4 driver was which will hopefully help towards getting him prosecuted.
So we are now a one MGF family but thankful that nobody was seriously injured or killed.
Just goes to show you never know what's round the corner..............

Your poor girlfriend... we really hope she is recovering. The bloke deserves a good hiding. And a long driving ban. What a complete knob.
Best wishes to you both.

Best wishes to the mrs,
What did the other driver have to say for himself?
Poor lady must have been really shaken by the event.

Glad your girlfriend is OK must have been when heck of a shock - the cars replaceable a good woman is hard to find !
Re: Nasty accident and wrecked MGF :o(
Hawkstringer, the bloke came to ask if she was ok but got told to 'go away'.
When the Paramedic went to check he was ok the 4x4 driver apparently insisted on finishing his phone call before talking to him.
Says it all really!
Thanks for all your good wishes, at the end of the day it's just a car, albeit a two-wheeled one now.....
