Good Job, James! Do you have any idea about using the variable intermittent wiper thingy?

I am working on a solution, hopefully using the control unit from the late montego, these are currently available from Rimmers for £12.

Done a few more jobs on the Abingdon today on my day off, Charged the battery last night and refitted it so the car is alive once more.
Re fitted both front wheels after checking the brake pedal, which is still hard so my brake bleeding job has stood up for a few days so must be ok.
Fitted a new air filter the old one was just a bit dirty.
005.jpg
The date on the air filter is 2002 and I have an invoice for its last Main Dealer service dated 30/06/2003 so it looks as if that filter has been in there for the last 11 1/2 years as have the spark plugs so I changed those as well.
The mileage then was 41000 it has only done 61000 now 11 1/2 years later.
The air filter box had quite a bit of dirt and dried leaves so I hoovered that out while I could.
there was even an old elastic band in here
there was even an old elastic band in here
I have left the rear wheels off for now as the next job is a biggy as I want to remove the entire exhaust, I dont like the way it sounds so I have a TT mk 7 and a Toyosports stainless manifold and down pipe to fit, the whole thing looks rusted solid and will have to cut off I think so I am building up courage to tackle that.

Not me but had the boys around from MG Rover around yesterday to check the head gasket on out tf as I want to use it once all my operations are done, great pair of lads came around started at 2.30 left at 8.00, explained everything they were doing and why, bottom line that in the past the h/g had been changed but bodged by someone!! and what looked like head gasket sealer put in. Second hand head fitted I would recommend them to anyone that needs this work done that does not feel confident enough to do there own h/g, good price too now for the m.o.t.

Had to fit new battery, for the first time she failed to start, took car out of garage and parked on drive, hour later she wouldn't start, not sure of age of old battery but new on was only £35, can't complain

Well took the car for a run to check all is well with the new h/g and every thing is fine, so as the sun was out washed the car off and started to do up the body work ready for spraying, started with the normal places where the boot shuts and a small rust blister on the back panel.

I think he was upset on a thread where he offered someone some wheels and someone else posted in big letters about the wheels being the wrong size.

Yes that’s right ... and when going up here from Born you have to pass through the Roer tunnel (or roar tunnel), which we did after 2013 Niederrhein Tour: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=13397&p=117618&hil ... el#p117612
