Fitted a replacement bonnet in the same colour today as mine had a bad crease in it,also fitted new badges front and rear, new number plates and then gave the car a good claybar and polish with auto finesse products bought at the nec
The car is looking superb, and is booked in to have the ns front wing and door resprayed as it has nasty scratch on that side
The f will then be in near mint condition,I need to find out how to upload pics on this site!

I'm about to order some as well! Job for this weekend however is Coolant temp sensor and replacing the heavy carpet with some (frugal as I am) dense 1 inch thick sofa foam, which looks like it should do perfectly although not sure how great it is going to be sound protection wise...either way it's going to may engine bay access so much easier that removing that awful rug every time which in my eyes is the most effort filled part!

Replaced my door speakers as one of the Kenwoods had errr, given up on life, as pictured below

I used the Vibe 6.5" replacements at 11.99 each from Halfords. As the previous owner had fitted these kenwoods no further drilling was required - otherwise 2/3 holes would be necessary to fit the replacements if you were upgrading from stock

Nice Daz - will be doing my interior purple for my black MGF, it's currently cream leather interior which I intend to swap out for black cloth!

With the speakers sorted I decided it was time to copy a mod I've seen elsewhere and wrap my airbox in some heat reflective tape!

I also managed to reposition the intake hose nearest the front of the car while the airbox was out to draw air from below the car rather than from in the engine bay.

I measured the outside diameter of the other pipe and found it to be 56mm so I'll find some suitable ducting and direct it to the N/s vent

As a result my intake temps are now around 45 C standing and 42-44 while moving. The car pulls a lot better low down, by which I mean smoother acceleration and less jerkiness. My intake temps were just over 50 C before so I'm hoping once the other pipe is directed towards cooler air that I can get intake temps with a warm engine below the 40 C threshold which would be fabulous

Pics of box and what I've done to the hose attached

Removed the power unit to replace clutch and only one snapped bolt. While it's out I'm going to upgrade the clutch arm, change the belts etc.

Well I was chuffed that I replaced my split rear window with a glass one. Looks great and only took me 30 minutes. Just got back from a 400 mile round trip to Scunthorpe and my 2001 MGF 1.8 performed perfectly. The more I drive this car the more I love it. :D

Washed and polished and started putting the new stripes on, having removed the worn stripes over the previous few weeks.

Replaced the offside rear brake caliper and carrier which had been giving various problems since I had the car. First time I had bled the brakes on a car.

Lot more feel to the brakes now.
