Not good with the tyre..!! The gear knob looks good, i wasn't sure when you said black with red inlay but goes well with the gaiter

Yeah, I didn't know at first whether it would work, but as the saying goes nothing ventured, nothing gained....

And now looking where else I can tie in the coloured lacquer ..... this could go wrong ;)

Today I bought a 2002 TF in Xpower grey, with black leather interior.

It has not been on the road in years, so it needs work, probably takes a while

Well they look nearly the same shade on the photo, shame that looking at them they are quite different.... but there's my 'new' handbrake gaiter (which matches the steering wheel)

Run out in the MGF yesterday to see the lavender fields, prior to the Tour de France passing this way today. Enjoy!:

Waxyoled the sills, cleaned up the mess on the floor and refitted the O/S engine intake.

Apparently it's carbon fibre.... not wood.... now wonder what red carbon fibre vinyl might look like given that they have plastic nuts I can undo to remove them rather than those dodgy clips that snap the posts off....

but for now the colouring of the interior continues.....

Eventually got this fitted too.... a couple of snapped bolts, only one side replaced with poly bush and new bracket, the bigger 'cat saver' nuts and bolts fitted and a bit paint removed from bumper but hey ho... noise on way to work this morning was nicer...

Recently had to have a windscreen replaced on the Mk1 due to a stone chip that would fail the MOT. I thought that our local (French) Carglass people would have a bit of difficulty in sourcing one but they had it in the shop in two days. New glass fitted no problems, apart from a big financial hit to the insurance company - thanks goodness I had windscreen cover despite the 3rd party insurance... they got stuffed 947,32€ for the job! (ouch!)

Nice clean glass now, ready for a trip to Italy next month to celebrate her 25 years (1st Registered 22/3/1997). Round the Côte d'Azur & then up to Cunéo in Piémonte then down to the Cinque Terre.

Car running well. Two year Contrôle Technique due in May but I have no fears about it not passing.
