Put my new 'second hand' 'for the boot recess' MGF Tool kit in...the boot recess, (and righted a wrong after I sold a similiar kit with other MGF stuff thinking I wouldn't have another 'F).

Ground all the scabrous rust off the rear subframe with a very angry looking wire brush angle grinder attachment. Very satisfying :D

Picture of MGF tool kit, just had a look at the Bay area, currently one up for grabs but missing the foam in the lid and two pairs of latex gloves.

Where is it stowed? I have a Trophy as well, didn't even know they had a tool kit. I will go and see if mine has one.
Cheers

This was an MG Rover extra, not supplied with car. Quite a sought after item to have, not the best quality or totally comprehensive. Two on the Bay area in the last few weeks have gone for over one hundred notes.

As much as that !!!, I paid a fiver for mine brand new from B&G's back in 2004, transferred it from the F (along with the chrome boot lid finishers and the engine bay aperture grill and inspection panels).

The tool kit sits in the recess on the boot floor, as has been said, it was never a standard piece of kit just an option.
Bilstein shocks, Piper 4-2-1 manifold, Daytona, Vader cold-air induction, custom Z and F Stage 2 re-map, Electric boot release, braided hoses, Blue Magnecor leads, Technozen relays, Stage 1 head, BMW Angel Eyes headlights, "MG" puddle lights.

Nice tool kit! If I'd seen it for a fiver on the B&G stand, I'd have snapped it up! I'm amazed I missed it

Metro brake master cylinder and servo arrived - so I know what I'll be playing with soon :)

Does anyone know if/where I can get replacement stainless water pipes for the back of the engine?

A drive from Colindale to Enfield and back, an oil and filter change and fitted the door card finally. Found out the door speakers were Kenwood items.

A good day.

Always do something everyday when I've a project on the go just to keep enthusiasm and progress up, but being on nights I only washed the mud/rubbish off the inaccessible areas of the front bumper and headlights now they are off the car and flushed the radiator.
