Finally got round to fitting the 52mm throttle body I bought for £40 at Easter.
Haven't taken it on a proper run yet but it sounds great and the throttle response on low gear is definitely better.

Has been runnning lumpy since the MOT - Really Lumpy !!!
Checked for manifold leak and Brake servo vacuum pipe, changed Coil Packs (Had some spare for Head conversion project), Found out Rad Fan weasn't working so spent soem time troubleshooting that. had a spare relay - working now.
In the end went to Halfords today and purchased 4 spark plugs for £6 (on offer)
Its like a new car again.

Had a similar problem on mine a while ago. Turned out to be a dodgy sparkplug. Easily sorted thankfully

Completed 'B' Service, Hammerite to front sub-frame and dealt with some rust around NSR wheel arch/sill

Looked at it and wished I had some time to finish putting it back together. (been building a 35m2 deck in the back garden).

Finally replaced my iffy battery after the car totally refused to start last week, and added an isolator switch just for added protection

Today I fitted this Alpine 2ch amp which I picked up in Madrid from a market at €12! It was a bit battered so I sprayed it up with some gun metal grey spray I happened to have, I then wired it in behind passenger seat (forget the bunched up carpet need to trim cables to fit was just testing overall look ) and created a Perspex cover with MG logo and LED lighting (cool white, switched). A nice little project very rewarding and a bit more oomph to my music

I also fitted a pair of Red LED "ambient lights" into the bottom side of the rear view mirror - no photos yet but they provide a nice glow to the centre console during night time driving.

Thanks - I could create one but I think one exists on .org site. It's 2 bright red leds mounted into recessed holders on lower part of mirror - I took supply from glove box so the lights come on when the rest of the lights are turned on. They are dimmable using a small recessed potentiometer too (but can't be off completely - I may add that option at a later date).

I'll take photos when back next week as currently at a conference on Jeju Island, Korea!

Whilst I was busy fitting things this weekend I also fitted one of the fibreglass cubby holes in place of the airbag blank. I went for Matt black as it complements the rest of the interior better than gloss.

I also fitted a fused connection to the battery with a plug terminating in the glove box to allow me to deploy a small solar panel to keep the battery topped up when parked up. I just tuck the panel out of the way in the glove box when not in use. I used the panel below from Maplin.

I have actually driven my car today. It has been in hibernation since August last year.
Since then my house has got a new layer of paint, which naturally have taken all of my spare time.
It was lovely to finally have some time to drive the MGF again. I was reminded why I love these cars. They are absolutely amazing!

I understood that the later TF135 had a pasenger Airbag ???

While im not currently in the car...my memory is telling me that i have a blank in my TF!! I'll have to check later..still would like to know about the cubby shelf though

I want one too and there's a set of 3 for £30....if someone buys I'll take one for a tenner plus postage (id get the myself but skint at the moment until next friday)

The cubby hole thingy is from a chap on Facebook - see below - very nice and a clean fit.

The ZR cubby holes listed on eBay won't fit without fiddling - these are made to measure.
