So I have gone and done it :)

Post by magicman_chris » Mon Feb 03, 2014 12:35 pm

Now a proud owner of MG TF 135 (bought from Chris & Tony) so not much needs to be done, but on the list

Only thing that not happy about is not being able to see through plastic back window so glass to be ordered then seeing if I am brave enough to fit it myself :) - replace back faded badge (already ordered on Ebay) - replace foot mats again Ebay - then look at fixing scuffs on bumpers and very small rust spot.

Loved the drive back home on Saturday - felt great! The only serious problem is the other half has fallen in love with it and trying to steal it already!!

Well done - great news! :D I hope your car gives you as much pleasure as mine has over the years :thumbsu:

Regarding the rear screen: is it just murky? In which case a good polish (Autoglym SuperResin or the stuff that the Register sells, Greygate plastic polish) should do the trick without having to replace. If you do want to replace the screen, be aware that there are now a few glass rear screen replacement options, completed with heated elements that you might want to consider. :)

Enjoy 8-)

Thanks for that Rob - yes screen just seems a bit cloudy not really scratched so I will certainly try the Autoglym :)

well done on buying the car, how did you find driving it? As Rob said autoglym, it worked wonders for my window, you do have to go over it a few times though.

Glad you're sorted. Saw a beautiful 03 plate TF135 for sale in Mirage with 50K miles on the clock for £2K today which would have been a lovely buy.
