Oh yes, they were certainly very skillful :thumbsu: Actually very talented! I imagine that they are the scurge of the local Ulster Tesco car park! They're into rallying too - so car control is very much their thing :)

Where can I get a fake rearward facing Burberry baseball cap?

Martin, you're on the team already!

Last night I found myself tentatively searching online for a round wheel arch midget shell and a K-Series 160 engine to go in it...been having dreams in old english white with lashings of red leather and minilites.

Kinda both hoping and yet not hoping that it's just a passing phase to be honest..

OOooh! That sounds really nice Stuart! But I think you'd have to build your own to get that

Would be good fun to build I reckon...just need to convince myself otherwise (which could be tricky!)

Been half-heartedly/very passively looking for an early mk1 F in old english white, or even a mk1 with a full grenadine interior that I could rub down, prep and get painted in old english white...but since seeing those K-series midgets, my cunning plan is changing.

One day I'll just wake up and decide to do something about it...until then though it won't do any harm to research those K-series midgets for just a short while longer ay?

The F looks nice and straight - it has the wrong wheels, but hey, you'd probably change the interior anyway!

The Midget is intriguing - where is Billingham? The one thing that puts me off is the way that the bonnet doesn't seem to fit - look at the panel gap at the rear of the bonnet, and then how it overlaps the NS wing? Perhaps it is an optical illusion, but I'd be worried that the front of the car has been welded on the squint. May be why the vendor decided to weld up his own car rather than sort out this one?

Otherwise, it would be perfect for a KMidget :)

Agreed, Middlesbrough is a bit of a trot, but do-able in a day. be interesting to see what it goes for.

You're right about the bonnet- with anything like this you've gotta stand in front of it and kick the tyres before bidding I reckon.

Interesting though- shows they're out there...just blummin miles away
