Yeah, my wife thinks you are mad too,
well, she thinks I'm mad always having the roof down.

I work by a simple rule - if the wipers are off then the roof is off.

Driving roof down in January is great :thumbsu:

Talking of brake pipes, just noticed surface corrosion on mine! Argh! That'll probably mean new brake (and clutch) pipes very soon...

By the scenery, it looks like we're going in to Holland again then :thumbsu:

On New Years Day it was topless to Brooklands, strange looks from other cars on the M25 but they don't know how much fun (and cosy) it really is.

It can get nice and warm in the f with the roof down, my wife won't even give it chance though! She thinks I'm barmy! I don't mind though, if she's not in the car I can drive how I like without that horrible annoying noise then tends to come from the passenger seat when she's in the car! ;-)

I enjoy that type of journey, without the nagging missus!

Since buying the TF in August my wife has found a new way of indulging in her interest in stargazing whilst I drive us round dark country lanes topless!

We have strict rules about using the hood - if you leave home then it's hood down. If it's raining when you leave home then use a car with a roof.

I did have to break that rule yesterday as it was covered in frost but did lower the hood at the first opportunity once it had dried out a bit.

The only concern is the brittle plastic screen, just make sure it isn't creased as you fold SLOWLY.

Fortunately we have a glass screen but I do try to avoid folding the hood when wet. In case it leaves unsightly water marks or gets mouldy

Not sure how likely that is?

How long is the hood down, most of the time for me it's no more than half an hour.
If you leave it down for days maybe.
