I like the vent vanes and also the paint extension onto the door skin - finishes the green element nicely!

You sometimes see similar suspension straps on vehicles to limit droop - is it needed on a TF? It'll make lifting a wheel easier - which may not be a good thing? I can't imagine that at full droop you're going to significantly compromise the drive shaft angles - but that is a guess: I have not measured them! Just curious: really interested to hear your thoughts on this as your mods are always well considered.

This is now the droop limit Rob. I may have more droop on the rear due to the Protech coilovers I'm using, but I had to cut massive slots in the undertray to allow for the full sag of the rear suspension arm, when jacking the car up. Won't be a problem now.

So made my single wiper 'conversion' on the race car full sweep, so now it is a conversion. Cut the O/S section off, remove the metal bar that is on the bottom of the spindle, by grinding the flange away. Use this for the new motor spindle attachment, had to weld up the hole that had been where it fastened to the O/S spindle. bent it up to match the oe motor bar, then measured up and moved the pivot point 10mm out.

So I was never happy with the fit of the headlight blanks I had made from grp and I needed to add an air intake for the oil cooler I have moved inboard. So I have gutted the headlights and added an intake...much happier, just need to add the led lights and the green to the corner once the paint has fully cured so I can use masking tape.

Other headlight done, with air intake for the cabin. Slight run in the lacquer, but will sort it, when I do the green bit in the corner.

Some more quality work in the Blue Peter workshop today. CAD design for the plenum chamber for the oil cooler, not decided on final placement of the intake duct yet. Just waiting for the GRP mat and resin to arrive.

Bracing put in after removing spare wheel well and battery trays. Should be stiffer now that it was with them in. One last bit of welding to do, for a bracket for the oil cooler.

LHS rear wing upright test fitted...happy. Now a lot of measuring will have to be done, to ensure I get the fixing points for RHS the same. The mount bases are sat on 25m tall nylon blocks I have cut to match the slope of the body work, bolted together will Rivnuts in the bodywork.

Oil cooler installation effectively done, with plenum and fans (carried over from when no air feed). It's not the prettiest thing in the world but function over form.

With an appropriate amount of swearing and dropping things down the back of the radiator, resulting in having to remove the ducting again the front end is back together - well nearly, when the weather stops doing it's thing will get the bumper and refit so I can mask off the headlights for the green stripe.
Oil cooler plumbed back in, ducting/fan for the demister remounted in slightly different location and ducting for the cabin now run to the back of the headlight rather than just pulling air in from under the bonnet.
Frustrating that 76mm ID ducting does not go over 76mm OD fan inlets, forgot the misery of trying to make them fit when I initially did it.

Mixed results today. As I have gone solid cam, have had to extend the oil temp loom, add a T piece to the oil filter take off housing, to allow fitting of ecu oil temp feed and existing mechanical pressure gauge.
Now for the mixed result bit, overtightened the oil pressure fitting and shagged the fitting. So new olives on order, had a spare cap (to replace the one I broke). Olives will be here Thursday .
Finished the installation of the O/S front caliper, with 12mm spacers to move caliper out for the 300mm discs and fitted some mesh to the inside of the wheel arch, to protect the oil cooler.

It's in for mapping 6 March, so looking at a test/track day @ Croft in April.

Front splitter extension now done, so front bumper now finally back on ready for next weeks trip down to Milton Keynes for the visit to MARLIN MOTOR ENGINEERS for the mapping session.

Last of the welding done, welder can go away for a while...hopefully. When the car went in to get the head sorted out, the options were remove the roll cage (not happening) or cut the harness bar. Guess which I went with?
