Mine did that too before I started to use it regularly - it also made some odd immobiliser chimes too: I think it was all oxidised contacts, but cleaned them all and it's been as good as gold since

Clicking MFU relays.

Ok, so the intermittent wire fm the switch is cut - only reason for that is it went to the 5AS, why would MG have done that ???

That's the boot lid done and I've masked up and primed the bumper.

Started the installation of the new fire extinguisher today, waiting on some bits so I can weld captive nuts in.

I've also discovered the wire to the wiper motor that allows the park function to work isn't receiving power fm the mfu.

Plumbing for extinguisher finished, and some more green paint turned up whilst I was out so will be able to finish the rear bumper tomorrow .

Getting there, rear bumper done, just the bit of body work between the bumper and boot lid to do - oh and the hardtop.

Blanked off the scuttle panel hole on the lhs with ally, to stop water running inside the car through the ducting for the demist and cooling me and giving me something to securely mount the T pull cables.

Today I at long last got the brake ducting done, it's take a while to work out how to do it.

Got the first part of the roof painting done today, green - although I'm going to have to do the bottom bit again, paint run. Also at long last came up with a way to mount the rear view mirror.

Productive afternoon, I've been playing with a hot glue gun, cardboard and stretchy fabric to finish off the brake cooling duct. Just got to wait till tomorrow when the resin has fully hardened so I can paint it. I have also masked up the roof and the top of the windscreen surround and painted them in primer.

Will be interesting to hear how well that works in keeping brake temperatures down - I'd imagine very effective
I've not done anything like this on the Shed - for Hill Climbs and Sprints I've never encountered a problem. On a track day, I have encountered problems (Castle Combe) - but that might have been me being particularly heavy on the anchours going into the chicanes! My thought had been to modify fog lamp bezels to suit - and would be a little like the brake cooling intakes on the Sebring MGB

My goal was to have a system which meant no dicking around trying to get hoses reconnected if I removed the bumper, ideally I would have liked to have that part of the bumper filled in, so the only hole on the front was for the ducted radiator but this solution made use of the redundant slots/holes.

That seems sensible. The grille/air intake area will increase drag, but you could reduce the size of the intake through the bumper as you need pretty easily

If I could get hold of another TF front bumper cheap enough, I would work on making another front bumper with better aero functionality. I know the LE500 front bumper has a reduced aperture and would make a better starting point. I know someone has had a GRP front bumper produced for their car with the holes filled in and the splitter incorporated into it, but it's their mould is my understanding.
