Have you spoken to Peter at Anglia Composites? He already does MGF/TF bonnet and boot lids. He might be encouraged to do a TF bumper too; there is certainly a market for the LE500 type. I've thought of this one too: the TF bumper+lights are lighter than the MGF equivalent!

It's certainly quite striking! Personally I think the upper bumper looks too bare without the intake grilles. I'd probably take a 500LE bumper and blank the upper grilles with a mesh-pattern plastic. For your purpose though, you'd not really need to do that at all.

I enquired about the weight of the Motobuild bumpers. I can't remember the figures, but they're heavier than the original ones from MG!

May be a lighter version can be made?

I've now got oil pressure in the engine, so the oil has got to and from the oil cooler.
Also started work on the undertray and finished off the demister intake mounting.

First stage of the engine undertray done, need to bend up some 90 degree braces for either side of the cut outs for the suspension arms.

Any Nacar ducts planned to aid engine bay cooling?

I’m not allowed under body aero in my sprint class. A shame, as I have some cunning ideas ;)

Not yet Rob, may fit one for the sump but I am running a large oil cooler, hole cut to clear the manifold though.

It lives, need to take idle control valve off and clean it and check for vacuum leaks.

Bonding in or pop-rivets? IIRC, the OEM ones were pop-riveted :)

I've ordered some m4 x 16mm nylon bolts, nuts and washers, riveting polycarbonate can sometimes cause cracking, I've been looking for a picture like that one, do you have anymore? Looking at that pic they've used button head allen bolts.

I’m sure I had another somewhere - but good idea regarding nylon nuts and bolts!

I’ve left my rear window as it came from Honeybourne. Bet that rubber trim weighs a few grams!!!

Started making the MKII drivers side window today

Bent up the tubes, copying the passengers side, then mounted them onto the drivers side glass window using the same measurements from the passenger side. Welded it all together, made tabs to fasten the polycarbonate to, welded them on, then cleaned everything up.
